Review:
By Ute
Summary:
Secret Window is a fabulous suspense/mystery film that follows the writing career of Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp) and his mysterious encounters with a stranger (John Turturro) who claims that Mort has plagiarized a story written by the stranger. Mort is recently divorced and living in a home quite a ways away from civilization and slowly becomes more and more disturbed by the stranger?s consistent and increasingly belligerent visits.
Why You Should See This Movie:
The acting in this film by Johnny Depp and John Torturro are absolutely awesome. They are both so convincing and interesting that the plot unfolds flawlessly. The movie does not have any real slow spots and keeps you interested and guessing as to what is actually going on throughout. The filming and effects contribute skillfully to the mystery and often give clues as to the outcome of the film. The plot is well developed and doesn?t leave any holes when the film concludes.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
If you are not into mystery/suspense movies, there wont be much for you in this film as it does not attempt to be a comedy or romance.
Conclusion:
Secret Window is a fabulous mystery/suspense film with great acting performances and a story that will keep you interested until the end.
