Summary:
Hotel Rwanda tells the story of a man named Paul (Don Cheadle) who is the manager of a ritzy Belgian owned hotel in the heart of Rwanda. He is used to a life of catering to the wealthy Europeans who wish to travel to Africa. When civil war breaks out in the country of Rwanda pitting radical rebels against the military as well as an ethnic minority, Paul is forced into a role of protector. His hotel is one of the last things the rebels raid partly as a result of Paul?s bribes with the powerful French supported military. Paul struggles to maintain the integrity of his hotel as well as harbor as many refugees as possible.

Why You Should See This Movie:
This film is in the Schindler?s List category of films that everyone should see no matter what in order to spread the story of absolute inhumane treatment of innocent men, women and children. The atrocities that occurred in the early 1990?s went largely unnoticed by the western world, but the losses were staggering. This film does an excellent job at portraying this story that needed to be told. Don Cheadle deserved his nomination for Best Actor, with an absolutely incredible performance as a man torn between the love of his wife and his duty to humanity. The film begins well and keeps the interesting pace going throughout the film. The camera shots of the dead bodies do a fabulous job at capturing the scope of the destruction and set a somber tone for the rest of the film.

Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
The movie is very graphic and shows the gruesome nature of a civil war in which innocent people are killed. If you are offended by the extreme mature theme, you wont appreciate this film.

Conclusion:
Hotel Rwanda is a wonderful film that tells an important story that needs to be heard by the entire world.
